FOLIC ACID FOR THE FEMALE PARTNER

When trying to conceive we believe folic acid is an essential prenatal vitamin. You should start taking this at least a month prior to conception and studies have also shown there is benefit in continuing to take folic acid for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Many ladies choose to continue taking it throughout their pregnancy and some also take it whilst breastfeeding.
If you take another folic acid tablet you may need to take 2 tablets daily to reach the recommended levels in your plan however 1 tablet of this supplement is sufficient since it has the added iodine.  If you are adding baking soda to your water however, please read the recommendation below.

FOLATE/ FOLIC ACID FOR BOTH PARTNERS
