Hello again, I thought of another question....the supplement drinks? Is there any way you can still get them? I read that you stopped selling them because some people thought they didn't have to be as strict on their diets if they were taking them which is not smart...why not do everything you can. Anyways, I was wondering if you just get people to take pharmaceutical supplements now instead or what? Were the drinks more effective? Thanks again for your time :)

Hi Mom2girls

With our Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus Plans most ladies do not need to take additional supplementation.
We stopped the Supplement drinks not only because some ladies felt they did not need to be as strict when taking them, as that was not always the case, however we had difficulties getting a constant supply of the very specific ingredients we needed also.

We were also mindful of the on-going expense the supplement drinks were and worked very hard to come up with an effective alternative.

Before we stopped them we made ensure optimal mineral ratios would still be maintained and we came up with a diet that addressed hormonal issues whilst optimizing CM and sperm for the relevant gender attempts. This was when the Menu Plan came into being and if you follow that we find supplementation is often not necessary.

However with the Platinum and Platinum Plus Plans we ask you to complete a Menu Planning Assessment approx. 3 weeks before attempting to ensure you are both on track for your attempt and sometimes there may be some Menu adjustments made at that time or occasioanlly supplementation if we feel it is necessary.

We do have recommended supplement on our on-line shop under 'extra girl products' and 'extra boy products' if you have specific concerns you wish to address.

Our statistics have remained around 80%- even climbing higher in recent months so you are not disadvantaged in any way by not taking the supplement drinks. :-)

Heavier period susually are a sign of a thicker lining.

What does a thicker lining do? Does it aid in conception or lessen? Or something else or make no difference? Sometimes my AF is quite heavy and other times fairly light. I never knew what it meant.

Generally a thicker lining is better as it is easier for the embryo to implant when it lands in the uterus. Strict dieting can thin the lining.

However a very thick lining is NOT recommended.

I tried to thicken my lining when I had conception difficulties- through diet and herbs-as I read a thick lining is generally more fertile however the OBGYN got a shock when he saw how thick my lining was at a scan. I was so proud of myself initially that I had managed to thicken the lining so much that he commented- what have you been doing- your  lining has doubled in thickness?- however he was not happy and said it was fine BEFORE and if it is too thick there is a greater cancer risk. That is scary...

I have learnt a lot since then. I was naive and thought I was doing the right thing. I have learnt however how powerful herbs are and how careful you have to be...

I am still on the pill and thinking about TTC a girl who will be born in January 2012. Just wondering if anyone can help me in working backwards from there - and when I need to come off the pill and start the diet and so on. I really need to know when I should purchase my plan, too. Thanks for any help! x

Hi JustAliJane

I would go into the a-gender shop and do the quiz to see which plan would suit you most. Go into the purchasing products section.
If it is the Platinum Plus Plan I would order August or if it is one of the other plans Sept/early Oct :-)

Hope this helps. Youo are welcome to email me on maree@a-gender.com.au if you have any questions or fine to ask here as well of course...

Hello everyone, I was just reading the reply from maree to justalijane and I also am wanting to try for a bub shooting to be due in january 2012 but it will be for a boy. I asked probably a couple monthes ago when I should order the platinum plus plan and I was told around October at the latest but to check in closer to the time because there could be a longer waiting period for the personal info etc. So, my question is should I order my plan this august as well? I want to be very prepared.....between my two sisters and I we have had 7 kids in the last 5 years......all girls two are mine so I need some adjusting..lol thanks for the help!

Hi again, my husband is wondering what the diet plan for the platinum plus plan will be like for him? I know it is no dairy for me, is it the same for him? How strict will he have to be? Thanks

Hi Mom2girls

Not the same for him and although you have a menu plan he can minimize and maximize certian foods if he wishes to.:-)
